Kilbirnie was designed and built as a guesthouse 100 years ago, and has recently been completely renovated. It is in the centre of Middlemarch, close to the Railway Station and the start of the Rail Trail, and to local amenities. We can accommodate 5 homestay guests (1 twin room, and 1 double & single room) and 9 backpackers. |

Ham Radio: Marg ZL3UD and Irene ZL3VQR will be operating a full amateur radio station once the radio tower is in place. This will be available for emergency communications services as well as licensed Hams. Visit . A small dairy goat herd is run in conjunction with Kilbirnie. Take the opportunity to make friends. Margaret is a qualified Ambulance Officer of 21 years standing and uses alpaca fibre in a variety of crafts. Irene has a world reputation on the care of dairy goats and is a production hand-spinner using a great variety of fibres. Both are competent in Desktop Publishing.
