Bike safety

~ Always indicate with your arm when turning round the corner.

~Use bike lanes if available.

~Make sure your helmet is fitted correctly.

~Always ride single file at night along the road, with reflectors.

~ Make sure your helmet fits properly.

~ Always make sure your helmet is approved by the New Zealand safety standard.

  

Bus Safety

~ Always wear a safety belt if there is one.

~ Wait until the bus has past two power poles before crossing.

~ Let the youngest person go on to the bus first.

~ If there are no seats stand and hold onto a seat  or a  pole.

~ Listen to any instructions from the bus driver or warden.

Walking Safety

~ Foot paths are for walking on not for playing on.

~ Keep away from edge of foot path you may fall.

~ Be aware a sneaky drivers.

~ Have a look for drivers in drive ways that could be backing.

~ Stay on the footpath when you are in the car park.
