Horse Enduro

Judging on time and horse condition.

An endurance race for horse and rider along the section of
Rail Trail from Hyde Station to Middlemarch Station.
Distance is approx. 25km.
Flat going track.
Surface fair to good.
Challenge: to get the best time over this distance.

The very first rail trail horse enduro race of 2000

Race rules

Veterinary inspection prior to start. Automatic disqualification if horse deemed by Vet to be in unsuitable condition for racing.

Any horse which during the race is considered by course marshals to be unduly stressed, will be required to withdraw from racing.

At the finish line, a Vet will inspect horses.

The Vet will inspect horses again approx. half an hour after finishing the race.

If any horse is judged by the Vet in any of these three inspections to be in an unsatisfactory state, the competitor will be disqualified. The Vet's decision is final.

  All competitors enter at their own risk. Organizers will not be liable for any accident or injury.
