On a Sunday, the Taieri Gorge Excursion Train comes to Middlemarch late in the afternoon. A delicious sausage sizzle is always available in the railway recreation area.
To enhance the culinary experience, "Saucy the Cow" has been constructed to enable condiments to be dispensed from teats placed in the appropriate place.
